Econet pays bona fide Matsebetsebe winners
Telecommunications giant, Econet Telecom Lesotho, is living to its promises and paying rightful winners of the Matsebetsebe cash explosion promotion.
The payments come as a result of the promotion rigging where the presenter of the radio programs, Kholu Lieta tampered with the legitimate list of the winners by rewarding the fraudulent winners that she created. The matter was immediately reported to the police and she was arrested, convicted and sentenced. As indicated in the previous communication, civil cases are still continuing to ensure that Ms Lieta and her accomplices pay back monies that they stole from ETL and the genuine winners.
Among the first batch of beneficiaries, Phomane Toloane of Sehlabeng and Teboho Mokone of Upper Thamae will each walk away with M50, 000. Mokone said that what is happening shows that Econet values its customer and urges others to continue supporting Econet.” Econet was defrauded but it took the responsibility of paying the rightful winners, that’s really beyond my expectations” said Mokone. He narrated that he was on his way to work when he received a call that made his day and has been smiling the whole day and I haven’t decided on how to use this fortune.
Speaking on behalf of Econet, the Public Relations Officer, Puleng Masoabi said that they had to verify and approve the list of the rightful winners in order for the payments to go through.” Econet lives by its values, we have made a promise and we shall fulfill it to continue changing people’s lives” said Masoabi.
Matsebetsebe cash explosion promotion is an ongoing ETL’s initiative of giving back to the communities and showing appreciation for the unwavering support to all the customers depending on their luck. In addition to the innovative products and services which the network offers customers, the Matsebetsebe promotion presents customers with opportunities to enrich their lives and achieve their dreams.
To enter the promotion, customers send ‘Econet’ to 65100 and start playing the Matsebetsebe trivia at the cost of M1 per SMS.
