Econet rewards NUL best performing graduates
Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL) rewarded seven top performing National University of Lesotho students from different faculties.
The awards were given at the NUL graduation ceremony on October 1, 2016.
Presenting the cash awards, Econet Chief Executive Leon de Fleuriot said the cash will help students start their new awaiting venture outside the academy. He further said that Econet cannot ignore the increasing unemployment rate which has affected everyone including the graduates; he encouraged them to invest their money wisely.
Business Administration best performers awards were given to 'Makatiso Lucy Mamooe and Kekeletso Smuts Taka while Elsie Gotora and Thuso Tjakata received the awards for the best performance in Statistics/Demography. In the technical categories, Leutsoa Moteka was chosen as the best performer in two categories, namely, B. Eng in Computer science and Networking as well as CISCO Networking. The last candidate who received best performance award in B. Eng in Computer science and Networking is Masilonyane Letebele.
Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Letebele thanked ETL for the award as it shows that their hard work is recognised. He also felt lucky to be one of the students to receive an ETL award. 'It is motivating to see big companies like ETL recognizing talent and hard work. ETL made my dreams come true because this award is an addition to the two performance awards that I received in Junior Certificate (JC) and Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC)" concluded Letebele
ETL performance awards are received by high quality performing tertiary students from different institutions during the graduations ceremonies every year.
